Idaho Department Health & Welfare Awards Grant
Various cities around Idaho will benefit from the $1 million in grants distributed by the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare. These funds will be used to improve dental and health care statewide.
The grants are part of the department’s new Community Health Center Grant Program.
Benewah Medical Center in Plummer received $152,000 for a new digital dental x-ray system, and Upper Valley Community Health Services in St. Anthony was awarded $175,000 to purchase dental equipment.
Along with those, Family Health Services in southern Idaho and the Dirne Community Health Center in Coeur d’Alene were each awarded $193,000 for dental equipment and programs.
Other grant recipients include the Pocatello clinic of Health West and the Glenns Ferry Health Center.
