Remember the show ’Friends’ that used to run Thursdays on NBC? All the friends would meet at Central Perk and drink coffee, rehashing the day’s events in almost every episode. Diving Wine Bar in Meridian is kind of like that. Low key atmosphere, a huge wine selection, and a limited menu of small food platters. Serious about learning more about wine? There is a wine club that meets monthly and sends you home with 2 bottles of wine, covered by the club fee. On Thursdays they offer Tapas Divinas, delectable food bites that change weekly. They offer monthly events, and during September there is a special tasting event featuring Italian Wines the 30th from 5-7pm. Be prepared though, with it’s medieval-style decor and inviting furniture, before you know it you’ll be drinking a glass of wine and rehashing the day’s events long into the night.
